Our mission

ZenonDoc was built out of frustration with PDF tools that demanded your email address, charged monthly fees, stored your files on servers, and bombarded you with upsells. We wanted something different — a single place with every document tool you need, that respects your privacy, works instantly, and costs nothing.

We use modern browser APIs (PDF-lib, PDF.js, FFmpeg.wasm, Canvas API) to process everything locally. Your files never leave your device. We never see them, store them, or share them.

3. File handling and privacy

Client-side tools: Many tools process files entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.
Server-side tools: Complex operations (OCR, AI features, format conversion) require server processing via encrypted HTTPS connections.
Auto-deletion: All uploaded files are permanently deleted within 30 minutes of processing.
No staff access: We never read or review your documents. Processing is fully automated.
Encryption: TLS 1.3 for transfers. AES-256 for files at rest during processing.

4. Cookies and tracking

Essential cookies: Required for core functionality. Cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 (anonymised). Opt out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ZenonDoc ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

2. Description of service

ZenonDoc provides free online tools for processing PDFs, images, video, and documents. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You must NOT use our Service to:

Process or distribute illegal content or copyrighted material you do not own
Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
Attempt to circumvent security measures or usage limits
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harm others
Process content involving sexual exploitation of minors (reported to authorities)

4. Your files and content

You retain full ownership of all files you upload. By uploading, you grant a limited, temporary licence solely to complete the requested operation. Files are auto-deleted within 30 minutes. We claim no rights to your content.

5. Intellectual property

ZenonDoc's name, logo, design, and software are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or distribute our software. You are responsible for having the right to process any files you upload.

6. DMCA and copyright

Report copyright infringement to: dmca@zenondoc.app. Include a description of the work, the infringing URL, your contact details, and a good faith statement.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not guarantee tools will be error-free. Output files should be verified before critical use.

8. Limitation of liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months (or $10 for free users). We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Subscriptions and refunds

Pro subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. 7-day refund policy. Payments processed by Stripe.

10. Changes and governing law
